I have been a Councillor for 10 years and have been active in my community for the best part of 25 years. 

I understand the issues that effect the people of Galway West because I live with these issues every day of the week and because of my experience in helping my community in the areas of planning, housing, transport, farming, enterprise, healthcare and community development.

Housing and Planning have been two of the key issues that I have worked on in my time as a Councillor. I firmly believe that families should be allowed to build on their own land to build the socio-economic unit in a community that allows for balanced regional development.

Independent Ireland, A New Party With New Ideas and Common Sense Solutions

Independent Ireland was founded to give a new choice to the voters of Ireland. As part of a team of likeminded independent councillors and TD’s we believe we can deliver the common sense solutions to ensure the people of Galway are fairly represented in Dail Eireann. For too long, succesive governments have been too focused on the needs of those on the DART line and have largely ignored the concerns of the people of rural Ireland. It is only by working together towards a goal of positive change that we can make a real difference for the people we represent.
